MUSEUM QUALITY specimen of crystalline Native Gold on Quartz matrix!
This is one of the largest Belshazzar Gold specimens that I've seen at the shows. It contains over 22 ounces
of Native Gold, visible on all sides of this cabinet sized specimen! The Gold consists of fine crystals and wires
and these are visible in the photograph to the right. Other parts of the Gold is more of a semi-crystalline mesh
and the entire specimen is both beautiful to look at and very impressive (as well as HEAVY)! This is a specimen
that could be displayed on a 360 revolving base because the gold drapes over the Quartz matrix on all sides.
Personally, I prefer the two sides displayed above but the specimen looks great regardless of presentation.
From the Belshazzar Mine, Quartzburg District, Boise County, Idaho.
Measures 12 cm by 7.2 cm by 6 cm in total size.

Comes with a custom made, engraved display base

Incredibly sharp and brilliant Native Gold dendrites on Quartz crystal matrix!
This specimen is unbelievable under a 10X loupe, displaying some of the finest, well formed
dendrites you'll ever see on a Romanian Gold specimen. The crystals are so sharp and distrinct,
forming dendritic herringbone patterns across a good portion of the tiny Quartz point covered matrix.
They are quite lustrous and the color is brighter and more yellow than much of what I see from this
locality. There is Silver in the mix but not nearly enough to label this piece as Electrum. The surface
sparkles under lighting and the Gold crystals are bright and reflective. One of the finest from Tucson!
From Rosia Montana, Verespatak, Alba County, Romania.
Measures 4.4 cm by 6.2 cm by 1.8 cm in total size.

Comes with an original antique label which dates to the 1800's.

Super brilliant specimen of Native Gold on Quartz matrix!
This very rich specimen of semi-crystalline Gold is very aesthetic with a dense, albeit still
open and airy display of leafy Gold on white Quartz. The structure is mesh-like but consists
mainly of lustrous leaves of Native Gold accented by a sparkling micro-crystallization atop
the layered surfaces. This is a rare specimen from the Olive Grove Prospect which is a new
find with an interesting story behind it. The discovery of the Gold vein came about accidentally
during the digging of a water well to irrigate a grove of olive trees. If only all of us could be so
lucky. I guess when you live in the Mother Lode region of California, almost anything is possible.
From the Olive Grove Prospect, near Coulterville, Mother Lode Belt, Mariposa Co., California.
Measures 5.3 cm by 5.7 cm by 1.8 cm in total size.

Brilliant specimen of crystalline Native Gold on Quartz!
This specimen represents the famous Eagle's Nest Mine very well indeed. It's completely crystalline from
top to bottom with flatterned trigons and crystal leaves. The edges are crystal covered as well and all display
a rich, beautiful color with a vibrant luster.
The Native Gold rises upwards from a matrix of white Quartz
and presents itself perfectly with the large crystalline leaf on the lower right being the diagnostic feature.

Measures 9.3 cm by 4.2 cm by 2.4 cm in total size.

Richly painted specimen of Native Gold on Hematite matrix!
This is an impressive specimen of bright yellow Gold from a seldom seen locality. There's a lot of
Gold here in the form of brilliant flakes and there's no telling just how much Gold is inside of the
brown Hematite matrix. I count at least 5 patches of Gold on the surface which has been exposed.

MIN#Gold-10 NEW!

Extremely rare and incredibly rich specimen of Gold with Chalcocite, Bornite, and Quartz!
This specimen is a spectacular contrast to the usual "pepper" Gold in Quartz specimens more commonly
seen from this famous mining locality. The Gold crystals here are large and well defined with one meauring
to .5 cm in size. They appear to be slighly rounded octahedrons are are present on both sides of the matrix!

This specimen was acquired by the former owner shortly after Lake Emma flooded and closed the mine.
Circa 1978 - From the D Level, Little Mary Vein, Sunnyside Mine, Gladstone, San Juan County, Colorado.

Circa 1978 - Measures 4.4 cm by 3.3 cm by 1.6 cm in total size.

BRILLIANT specimen of Native Gold perched atop Hematite colored Quartz matrix!
This is one luscious specimen of Australian Native Gold! The surfaces are gleeming with luster
and the color of the Gold indicates a very high purity. The specimen itself is a Gold epimorph in that
it displays the shape and angles of its former matrix in a way that makes it appear crystalline. The
matrix was probably a mix of iron mineral and Quartz and the remaining Quartz matrix below the
Gold has preserved the original color of the Hematite. You could probably turn the Quartz white
by cleaning it but that would take away from the specimen's characture and it definately has a lot
of character. I've been told that there are over 5 ounces of yellow metal in this specimen. This is
a rare piece and the Gold weight is just an added bonus. Most of these do not appear on matrix.
From the Idaho Pit, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia, Australia.
Measures 8.5 cm by 4.4 cm by 5.3 cm in total size.

Historic specimen of crystalline Native Gold on altered Rhyolite with Quartz matrix!
A very rich specimen of Native Gold from a locality that is tied to one of the most famous ghost towns
in America - Rhyolite, Nevada! The photo above shows the brilliant Gold dendrites which are bright in
color and very lustrous. The matrix is typical to the Bullfrog District and matches the material I've
personally dug many times while exploring the Rhyolite area. This specimen dates to the early 1900s
and was displayed in the Beatty Exchange Club
for years until it was donated to the Keck Museum.
I've only seen three specimens of Gold from the Rhyolite District and two of those are in this update.

Exceptional specimen of elongated Native Gold wires on Quartz crystal covered matrix!
This rare specimen is extraordinary due to the length of the main wire which measures 4 cm in length!
The other wires measure around 2 cm or larger in length. The visual impact of brilliant Gold wires set
against the Quartz crystal covered matrix is incredible. Only a small number of these elongated wires
were ever found and even fewer were set on Quartz. Most were found in the early mining days of the
Olinghouse District. I would consider this specimen to be among the top two or three that I have seen
and it dates back to the late 1990's or early 2000's. A specimen of this calibre with wires of this size
from the Olinghouse District is a prize for any collection. This represents an incredible opportunity.

Fine crystals of Gold var. Electrum on Quartz matrix!
This update started at the top with an incredible dendritic Native Gold specimen and now it ends
with an Electrum crystal specimen from the same locality. The crystals here are small but distinct
and they display a lustrous golden-silver coloration indicating a high percentage of Native Silver in the
mix (possibly as high as 50%). The close up photo displays the fine crystal clusters that are scattered
about atop the Quartz matrix. The clusters measure in size from .6 to .8 cm.  In excellent condition.

Stunning crystalline Canadian Gold specimen on orange Quartz!
This flashy miniature is actually pretty rich with beautiful, trigon covered leaves and wires
atop the orange colored Quartz matrix. Imagine the sparkle of drusy Quartz set against
the luster of bright yellow Gold crystals and you'll have a good idea of how attractive
this specimen is. In addition to the Gold leaves and wires, there is a peppering of Gold
popping out from every portion of the surface matrix.
Today, Shining Tree, Ontario is a great
place to visit and go fishing but it once had its very own Gold Rush between 1911-1933.
Mining was pretty much done by 1942 however when WWII closed most of the mines.
I wish they had found more specimens like the one offered here! It's the first I've seen.
