MIN#G-27 NEW!
CLASSIC GOLD!! Incredible specimen of
crystalline Gold with Calcite on Galenabismuthite!
This specimen dates back to the 1890's from the Belzzazar Mine in Idaho City, Idaho. It
was
originally in the collection of famous mineral collector Al Buranek who sold it to Charlie
Steen
in the 1950's. Charlie Steen was known as the Utah "Uranium King" and made his
millions
from his Uranium mines near Moab. Unfortunately, Mr. Steen later lost his fortune due to
bad luck and bad investments and the specimen was sold in 2000 by the Steen Family. This
is the finest specimen I've seen from Idaho City and has dozens of well formed crystals
from
top to bottom. And the aesthetics of this specimen are as impressive as its noted
pedigree!
Measures 5.2 cm by 2.8 cm in size. Ex. Al Buranek,
Charlie Steen collections.

SUPERB! Killer specimen of Native Leaf
Gold on drusy Quartz matrix!
One of the most aesthetic Romanian Gold specimens I've come across and
it is totally crystalline! Every Gold leaf is composed of dozens of trigons which
branch out into crystals and dendritic growths below. Under a glass, the crystals
are so distinct and sharp that one can't help but be impressed! I might point out
that the color is fairly rich too since many of these specimens are pale due to
the amount of Silver mixed with the Gold. These leaves are nice and yellow!
From Rosia Montană (Verespatak), Alba
County, Romania
Measures 6.2 cm by 6.5 cm in size.
