DEN2007-332chinarhodoacanthite.jpg (92112 bytes)

MIN#SILVER-32 NEW!

RARE COMBO!! Lustrous crystals of Acanthite with Rhodochrosite, Dolomite, and Fluorite!
I think there were only two of these very rare combination specimens in Denver and this one
really stood out. The Rhodos aren't perfect and exhibit some stress fracturing but still provide
a beautiful backdrop for the clusters of stacked Acanthite crystals! The Acanthites cover the
surface well and the association between Rhodochrosite and Acanthite is always a great find!
From Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang A. R., China.
Measures 7.5 cm by 7 cm in size.

MIN#SILVER-33 NEW!

EXCEPTIONAL specimen of lustrous gray Acanthite crystals with Chalcopyrite on matrix!
The largest crystal in the middle measures 1.8 cm in length! The remainder of this very rich
Silver Sulfide is covered with smaller Acanthites and patches of iridescent Chalcopyrite.
From the Eldorado Mine, Port Radium, Mackenzie District, Northwest Territories, Canada.
(This locality was discovered in 1900 and mined as a source of Silver and Radium in the 1930's.
It was dewatered in 1976 and mined again for its Silver and Copper reserves before closing for
good in 1982. The mine and its settlement were destroyed by fire and no longer exist today.)
Circa 1930's - Measures 4.7 cm by 5.2 cm in size.

SUM2007-14coppersilnugget.jpg (98487 bytes)

MIN#SILVER-35 NEW!

Native Copper nugget-halfbreed with Native Silver crystals!
Bizarre specimen which at first glance appears to be a typical Copper-Silver halfbreed.
When you turn the specimen around, however, a Silver crystal lined vug appears! I count
about a dozen freestanding crystals filling the Copper vug. I've never seen another like it!
From the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan.
Measures 5.5 cm by 7 cm in size.

MIN#SILVER-36 NEW!

EXCEPTIONAL! Aesthetic twirling wires of Native Silver atop matrix!
This specimen isn't quite the caliber of the Freiberg Silver but it's still pretty darn
good - especially for a Chinese Silver! Plus it's on matrix which is a huge plus!
From Lingqiu, Shanxi Province of China.
Measures 6 cm by 4.8 cm in size.

MIN#SILVER-37 NEW!

RARE! Native leaf Silver on Chalcocite matrix!
This is the first specimen of Silver I've offered from this very hard to find locality

TUC2007-374CAchlorargyrite.jpg (96354 bytes)

MIN#SILVER-40 NEW!

Rare specimen of Chlorargyrite on Malachite from California!
Fine crystals of tan Chlorargyrite are framed by fibrous green Malachite.
From the old mining town of Calico, San Bernardino County, California.
Calico was established in the 1880's as a Silver mining town and at its height
had over 500 mines. When the price of Silver declined in the 1890's, the town
began to suffer and lose population. When the Borax operation shut down in
1907, the desert town was completely abandoned and became a true ghost
town. Today, the town has been preserved and made into a tourist park.
Specimens from Calico are very rare and this is the first I have offered!
Measures 5.4 cm by 6.5 cm in size.

Denver2010-236SylvaniteIngramMineColorado47mm.jpg (235475 bytes)

MIN#SILVER-44 NEW!

RARE CLASSIC!! Lustrous Sylvanite with Calaverite on matrix!
The Sylvanite and Calaverite appear as flattened and elongated crystals atop the rich
gray matrix. Rotating the specimen from side to side displays the flashy
prismatic structure
of both minerals. The color can best be described as silverish gray to very slightly yellow.
I believe there is more Sylvanite than Calaverite in this piece but testing is required to be certain.
From the Ingram Mine, Gold Hill District, Boulder County, Colorado.
Measures 5 cm by 5 cm by 2.5 cm in total size.

Denver2010-207AcanthiteChalcopyritePSPolyBasiteGuanajuatoMexico46mm.jpg (270646 bytes)

MIN#SILVER-45 NEW!

Unusual and quite flashy combo featuring Acanthite crystals on Chalcopyrite ps. after Polybasite!
The Acanthite crystals are very sharp and lustrous and show well against the Golden Chalcopyrite.
There's also a slight iridescence to them. The Chalcopyrite has completely pseudomorphed the
Polybasite and the end result is a super lustrous, golden series of glittering blades, both large and small.
From Guanajuato, Durango, Mexico
Measures 3.8 cm by 4.3 cm by 4 cm in size.

Denver2010-225SilverpsDyscrazitePribramCzech10cm.jpg (330836 bytes)

MIN#SILVER-46 NEW!

EXCEPTIONAL! Very fine cabinet plate of Native Silver pseudomorphing after Dyscrazite!
The crystal form is well defined and sharp although completely replaced by Native Silver. This is one
of the most well balanced plates I've seen. It could actually be displayed from either side as there are
larger "fans" on the backside. I prefer the "jackstraw" crystal appearance on the front side though
and the patina is completely original and untampered with which is how fine Silvers should appear.

From Príbram, Central Bohemia, Bohemia, Czech Republic.
Measures 8.2 cm by 10.2 cm by 4 cm in size
