MIN#SILVER-31 NEW!

MAJOR KONGSBERG SILVER!!
What a super aesthetic combination of Native Wire Silver growing atop Calcite crystals
with Acanthite! I can't remember the last time I've seen such an attractive example from
Kongsberg. At the base, you'll find two absolutely perfect rhombs of white Calcite with sharp
crystals of gray Acanthite to the left. Situated in the middle is the "trunk" of the Silver tree
which starts at a thickness of about 1 cm and winds it way upwards, branches and all, to a
height of nearly 10 cm! I describe the specimen as a tree because that's exactly what it
looks like to me! An old gnarly tree with two white boulders at the base of the trunk.
This specimen dates back to the 1800's and has a very impressive provenance. It also
hosts a perfect ring of wire Silver which moves freely up and down the main wire. The
ring is visible above at about 3 o'clock and is the trademark of this famous specimen.
From the Kongsberg Silver Mines, Kongsberg, Buskerud, Norway.
Measures 10.2 cm by 6 cm by 4.4 cm in size.

Ex. Swethelm (circa 1940-1950's), Eric Asselborn, Emmering Collections

MIN#SILVER-32 NEW!

Fine wire of Native Silver atop Acanthite matrix!
There were specimens with more matrix and some with more wires but they just didn't
compare in terms of aesthetics and grace in my opinion. This one features a thick .7 cm
wire at the base, set atop a bit of matrix, curling and branching up into a thinner wire
at the top. The entire specimen measures 10.3 cm in height with a smaller wire branching
out towards the left. Another thing I liked about this specimen was the antiquish patina.
From the Huangtongxiang Mine, Lujiang, Anhui Province of China.

Comes with a custom made, labeled base.
Price $7500

MIN#SILVER-33 NEW!

WORLD CLASS SILVER!!
A TREMENDOUS specimen of Native Wire Silver atop Acanthite crystal covered matrix!
This would have to rank as one of the top three finest Silver specimens I've ever seen or
owned. It's definately the finest (and largest) German Silver I've shown on the website.
This specimen came out of the mines in Freiberg in the mid 1800's and was on display
in the Freiberg museum for many decades before being deaccessed in the mid 1980's.
From there it changed hands to Wayne Thompson before being purchased by Dave
Wilber for the Joseph Freilich Mineral Collection. I can't stress enough just how large
and incredible this specimen is. It's one of the true classics from the Freiberg Mining
District and is a Silver collector's dream specimen. A specimen of the quality and
caliber comes along maybe once every decade and this one will happily remain in
my case until the right collector comes along and takes it for his or her collection.

From Freiberg, Freiberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany.
Measures 15.5 cm by 8.6 cm in size with a gorgeous antique patina.

Ex. Joseph A. Freilich Mineral Collection via Dave Wilber.

MIN#SILVER-46 NEW!

VERY RARE! Shiny crystals of Stephanite with Argentite and Pyrargyrite on matrix!
From the Manhattan Silver Mining Company, Reese River Mining District, near Austin,
Lander County, Nevada. Classic old specimen from Nevada that is as historic as it
is rare. I've never seen another and from what I've heard, there probably aren't many
survivors to be had anywhere. This specimen is a must for any Silver or Nevada collector!
Austin was a Silver mining camp born in 1862 thanks to a Silver find by W. H. Talbott
(the legend is that his horse kicked up a piece of Quartz containing precious metals).
One year later, the town of Austin had over 10,000 inhabitants. The mines continued
operations until the late 19th century when the ores began to play out. If not for
highway 50 (named the Loneliest Highway in America), Austion probably would
have faded into full ghost town status by now. This specimen is circa late 1800's!
Measures 7 cm by 5.5 cm in size.
ex. Louis Zara, John Marshall collections.

NEW FIND!! New find of swirling Native Silver wires on Quartz matrix!
This specimen is among the first Native Silver specimens to be found at the

middle are incredibly dense and rich! Measures 8 cm by 7 cm in size.
