MIN#SILVER-91 NEW!

RARE SILVER!
Calcite accented Quartz point cluster sitting atop a mesh of Native Wire Silver and Calcite!
There appears to be a slight sprinkling of Limonite, giving a orangish hue to the Quartz.
What's really interesting about the specimen is the mesh of Silver wires and small Calcite
crystals located at the base and on the right side of the cluster. I can't recall seeing another
Silver specimen from Naica before, especially not one with Quartz crystals in association.
From the Naica, Mun. de Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Measures 7.3 cm by 8.5 cm by 7.7 cm in size.

Ex. Bill and Carol Smith Collection
From the Kevin Ward Personal Collection

AMAZING SPECIMEN! Definately the best Canadian Silver combo I found in Tucson!
Here you have stacked crystals of Acanthite ps. after Argentite (Silver Sulfides) with Native
Silver wires in the front and right center! Obviously the Sulfur component was removed at
some point during the development of this specimen allowing for the Native Silver growth.
Specimens like this always amaze me. They are both beautiful and interesting in my
opinion (being a Silver specimen collector). From the Foster Mine, Glen Lake, Coleman
Township, near Cobalt, Ontario, Canada. Measures 8.4 cm by 7 cm by 7.8 cm in size.
I might point out that not only is this specimen Silver rich, it's also quite heavy as a result!

WOW!! Classic and historical Silver specimen from Potosí, Peru (Now part of Bolivia)!
I purchased this specimen the second I saw it because it is the only Silver on matrix I have
ever found that is from the same mines where the ore for the large Atocha Shipwreck bar
was mined way back in 1622. I doubt this specimen is as old as that date but it is significant
in its own right. The Silver forms a beautiful "fishbone" that reaches 2.8 cm above the matrix.
The entire specimen measures 4.1 cm by 2 cm in size.

MIN#SILVER-98 NEW!

Another Silver rarity! Native dendritic Silver with reddish sprays of Erythrite!
The Cobalt mining area was famous for its mix of Silver and Erythrite in much the same
manner that Creede is famous for Silver and Amethyst but unfortunately, most of the specimens
were not saved. Many collectors and miners would actually clean away the Erythrite to expose
additional Silver, thus destroying many classic specimens. Today, these combo pieces are
very hard to find. Pictured above is an excellent example measuring 7 cm by 5.8 cm in size.
From the Cobalt Mining District, Ontario, Canada.

ACANTHITE SEAM! I love large matrix specimens of Silver and this one fits the bill!
First of all, I want to point out that the matrix surrounding this crystal seam is very rich and composed
of numerous Silver Sulfide seams. In the open seam itself, you find dozens of Quartz needles and
Acanthite crystals! Many of the Acanthite crystals are actually draped atop Quartz points and almost
appear "melted" in places. This is due to the Acanthite pseudomorphing the high temperature
Argentite and adopting its exact shape. Measuring, this is one rich Silver specimen!
From Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico. Measures 20 cm by 13 cm by 14 cm in total size.
